NOTICE TO THE PRESS
The President today announced the appointment of Charles H. Meacham,
of Juneau, Alaska, to be Deputy United States Commissioner on the
North Pacific Fur Seal Commission. He succeeds Clarence A. Weberg
whose resignation was effective March 25, 1974.
The purpose of the Commission is the conservation of fur seals in the
North Pacific Ocean.
