NOTICE TO THE PRESS
The President's Schedule
The President had a breakfast with a group of Republican Senators at
7:30 a.m. this morning in the First Floor Family Dining Room. They
included Senators Brock, Dole, Thurmond, Weicker, Roth, Taft and
Mathias. Also attending were the Vice President, Jack Marsh, Frank
Zarb, Alan Greenspan and Max Friedersdorf. The purpose of the
meeting was to discuss-the President's action on S. 1849.
At 9:00 a. m., the President met with the Bi-partisian Congressional
Leadership. They discussed S. 1849. Scheduled to attend were
Senators Mansfield, Byrd, Moss, Scott, Griffin and Curtis and
Representatives Albert, O'Neill, McFall, Burton, Rhodes, Michel,
and Anderson.
At 11:30 a. m., the President will drop in on a meeting of representatives
from 41 military-oriented organizations and associations. The President
will discuss military assistance to Turkey in brief remarks. This is
one of the regular meetings organized by the Office of Public Liaison
and they will hear other administration officials prior to the President.
At 11:45 a. m., the President is scheduled to meet with Vice President
Rockefeller. This is the regular meeting.
At 2:00 p.m., the President will meet with Jewish Leaders.
At 3:30 p.m., he will meet with a delegation of the China Council for the
Promotion of International Trade from the People's Republic of China.
At 4:00 p.m., he will meet with members of the 9th Congressional
Delegation of the People's Republic of China.
At 5:30 p.m., the President will meet with Senators and Congressmen
to discuss coyote predator issues. They are Senators Fannin, Garn, Hansen,
Laxalt, McClure, and Representatives English, Johnson, Poage, Sebelius and
Wampler.
At 6:45 p. m., the President will host of reception for members of the
Republican National Committee on the State Floor in the Residence.

The President has signed a proclamation for "National Hispanic Heritage
Week. 11 (Release)
The President has sent to Congress the Annual Report of the St. Lawrence Sea-
way Development Corporation. (Posting)--Copies available in Press Office
The President has signed a proclamation on Norwegian-American Day, 1975.
