NOTICE TO THE PRESS
The President will attend a birthday reception honoring Senator John L.
McClellan being held at the Caucus Room in the Russell Senate Office
Building, Wednesday evening.
The reception is being sponsored by both the Oklahoma Congressional and
the Economic Development Commission of Tulsa, Oklahoma, to pay tribute
to Senator McClellan, a veteran of 33 years in Congress who recently
turned 80 on February 25. The reception also marks the official observance
of the opening of the Tulsa Port of Catoosa, signalling completion of the
Arkansas River Navigation System. The President will depart the White
House at 6:25 p.m. and will return at about 7:00 p.m.
