Ford Presidential Library FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE AUGUST 2, 1976 Office of the White House Press Secretary THE WHITE HOUSE The President today announced the appointment of three persons as members of the Commission on Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Salaries for the period of the 1977 fiscal year of the Federal Government. They are: J. Lane Kirkland, of the District of Columbia, Secretary-Treasurer, AFL-CIO, Washington, D.C. Norma Pace, of New York, New York, Senior Vice President and Chief Economist, American Paper Institute. Peter G. Peterson, of New York, New York, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Lehman Brothers. The Commission was established by Public Law 90-206 of December 16, 1967. The Commission shall submit a report requested by the President by no later than November, 1976. # # #
