ANSWERS TO UNANSWERED QUESTIONS FROM THIS MORNING'S BRIEFING
Q.
Has the PFC paid AMTRAK for the whistle-stop train. Strauss claims
they have not.
A.
As Robert Moot, the PFC Treasurer, said today, the bill for the whistle-
stop train tour was paid by check number 612 in the amount of $14, 223
on June 25. The check was made out to the National Rail Corporation,
the firm from which the train was rented.
Q.
There are approximately 41, 000 U.S. troops in Korea now. Will they
remain there indefinitely?
A.
There are no current plans to change the troop level in Korea.
Q.
Has it been decided whether the President will take the FEC campaign
money?
A.
Yes, he will take FEC campaign money.
Q.
What is the possibility of the press meeting with the President for a
few questions?
A.
The President's schedule for the remainder of the week has not yet
been finalized.
