THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON

MEMORANDUM FOR:
STAN SCOTT
FROM:
KATHLEEN BALSDON
SUBJECT:
Administration's Accomplishments
in the Field of Civil Rights
The accusation of the Civil Rights Commission last week that
the President is to blame for inadequate enforcement is an
excellent reason why we need a new fact sheet on the Adminis-
tration's accomplishments in this field. It has been a year
since we have had any updated material on this.
We are prepared to make a wide distribution as soon as a fact
sheet is prepared. Do you think you could have one ready by
Monday, the 26th?
Much thanks.

MEMORANDUM FOR:
FROM:
DICK HOWARD Dick-
STAN SCOTT
Now that we are all getting reorganized, the thought comes up that
it has been a long time since there has been a fact sheet distributed
on the Administration's accomplishments for Blacks. I don't know
that we have sent anything like this to Black newspapers for quite
awhile, and this might be the time that we put something together
for possible distribution. You'll have to decide; maybe now is not
the time to tell our story. If it is, however, can you put some-
thing together that we can consider distributing?
Thanks.
