WASHINGTON, D.C. 20546
U.S.A.
OFFICE OF THE ADMINISTRATOR
AUG 14 1975
The President
The White House
Washington, DC 20500
Dear Mr. President:
R
This letter is to thank you for your personal interest
in and support of the now successfully concluded Apollo-
Soyuz Test Project. Your presence at the State Depart-
ment July 15, your in-flight conversations with the
crews, and your hospitality and personal presentation
of medals on August 9 have been an inspiration to the
entire ASTP team in government and industry.
We are presently proceeding with preparations for a
substantive meeting with the Soviets later this year
which we hope will enable us to build on the close and
effective cooperation achieved in ASTP. I will con-
tinue to keep you informed in this and other major areas
of the national space program.
Thank you again, Mr. President, for your continuing
interest and support.
Respectfully,
James Administrator C.
Fletcher
