great power to deny us an immediate settlement, or to prevent us
from being heard by you and by Congress.
Mr. President, in the name of thirty thousand people without rep
resentation in Congress, some of whom have shed their blood as you
know in loyalty to this Government we humbly pray you that this
Government demonstrate its loyalty to us.
