My dear Mr. Secretary:
The President wishes me to advise you that
the referees will no longer be consulted as such
in Alabama, and that Hon. J. 0. Thompson, Birming-
ham, Chairman of the State Committee, and Hon.
Charles H. Scott, Montgomery, National Committeeman,
will hereafter be advised with concerning matters
in that State.
