The specified amounts of the following essential foods should be eaten
daily:

3 ounces (raw weight)
Egg

Cereal, list 3
1/2 measuring cupful
Low sodium bread or
substitute, list 4
4 slices or equivalent
Unsalted butter, list 4

Vegetables, list 5
3-4 servings
Potato, list 5
1 medium
Fruit, list 6
2-3 servings
Additional foods, to make your total intake satisfying and to aid you in
preparing the foods listed above, may be chosen, in the amounts desired,
from the permissible foods in the following lists:
Beverages, list 7
Desserts and sweets, list 8
Jams, etc., list 4
Sugar, flavorings, condiments, fats, etc., list 9
Extra servings of Lonalac foods, cereals, breads, vegetables
and fruits from lists 2 to 6
Unless I give you special instructions, you need not change your nor-
mal habits as to the total amount of food eaten.
