Dear Sis:
We all surely enjoyed the call on Christmas morning!
It seemed strange not being at 219 for Christmas. We have had
so many there in the past. The call and talking to all of you
made our Christmas here so much nicer. It was a nice one, how-
ever - with a beautiful tree at the south end of the living room -
and the portal, or sunroom so pretty with each pane of glass
having a large "snow-flake" cut out - some red, turquoise,
yellow, blue and white. Christine and the kiddos made them, as
a surprise for me, and it was really a job. Around the edge of
each pane they used this liquid snow to look like ice or front -
and it sure did - almost made me cold. The big wreath on the
door Christine made from Mugo pine and cedar I cut here on the
place.
We all enjoyed the box from 219 and the presents from 601
and 605! Thanks for everything! Did Leo Walker take care of the
wreath O.K. for Mother's grave? (I really missed her more this
Christmas than last) I'm sure he did however.
We didn't do too much running around in the holidays - just
too tired to make all the parties. We did go to the Family Open
House at the Club however. That party goes back twenty five years.
Just members and their families
all given by the Club for free
( of course each member or stockholder paid in the end, anyway.)
