RESTRICTED - 2 - The other suggestion was that Navy and Army security officers (presumably the ONI Director and the Army Director of Intelligence) be the first security officers called by the Sub- committee after the medical testimony is in. Dr. Scheele made this suggestion because the military security people have had particular experience with the homosexual problem on a pretty big scale. Senator Hoey seemed to react favorably to both of these suggestions. He said that he expected to call his Subcommittee together within the next few days to map out their course of direction. S.J.S.
