MEMORANDUM OF CONVERSATION WITH THE PRESIDENT
: - SERVICE" RECORDS
Item No. 5
Meeting with Congressional Leaders on Atomic Energy
The President approved the list of persons attached
as Item G of my briefing book. I have not yet had a
chance to talk with Secretary Johnson about the list.
The President believes that probably Thursday night
at 8 o'clock at the Blair House would be the best time.
He will inquire about it and let me know later. If
I do not hear by tomorrow noon, I should be reminded.
(Later - I talked with Secretary Johnson, who
concurred in the list and the time of meeting. He
believed that Senator McMahon should have impressed
on him the fact that the list was the Senator's own
suggestion and that he shared responsibility for the
security aspects of the meeting.)
