Nr. loffean asked whether the Sear etery bad any
objection to the course of notion which ECA proposed
to tate through ite Public Advisory Board. Among the
membere of the Board ere three nejor labor union
leaders as well as leaders of three importent farm
groups. It MBE FCA'g desire to have the Board send
e letter, signed by the individual members, to the
membero of the House of Representatives along the
folloving lines:
1. The Board belfives that no votes vould have
been onet against the Korean a1d bill hed
the rembers of the Houre known ell of the
facte.
2. The Board had studied and was fabiliar with
all of the thot of the situstion, which
fsote would then be set forth in the letter.
3. The Loard vould then express the hope that
the membere of the louse vould inform them
nelvos of these faote and would reconsider
their action.
The Secretary eald that he thought this would be very
helprul.
