OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT
June 22, 1953
Dear Dean:
I am most grateful for a telephone call
from Oppenheimer inviting me to sit in on at least
the first of some sessions which you are having
during the summer at the Institute for Advanced
Study at Princeton. I had planned to be there on
July 2, but Averell Harriman has just asked Virginia
and me to come to dinner with President and Mrs.
Truman. My utmost regard for our former chief makes
that a command performance.
I will be in touch with Professor Graham
in Princeton about the possibility of dropping in
on subsequent sessions. This is a most interesting
thing which you have undertaken and it would be a
great privilege to sit in.
U.S. SERVICES
Cordially yours,
GOTE
