Dear Miss Jaffin:
In Miss Evans' absence on vacation
I am endeavoring to do a reasonably intelligent
piece of pinch-hitting. She left instructions
with respect to the recent checks sent with your
letter of the 23d, reimbursing Mr. Acheson, Mr.
Nitze and Miss Evans for out-of-pocket expenses
and Mr. Acheson has reimbursed Mr. Nitze for his
part.
Now comes the time for an accounting
for last week's trip and I enclose a statement
which Mr. Acheson thinks covers the matter.
