Dear Miss Jaffin:
I am enclosing three copies of an Outline of
Discussion, which Mr. Acheson has gotten up for the
October 9-10 meeting, and should be most appreciative
if you could see that Dr. Oppenheimer, Professor Earle,
and Dr. Feis get copies. I send the one for Dr. Feis
because we do not know the best address for him, and
thought you might be more up to date on this.
I will see that the following get copies of the
outline: Messrs. Johnson, Graham, Sprout, Barrett,
Bundy, Fisher, Jessup, Nitze, Rusk, Harriman, and
Perkins. Mr. Acheson has written Mr. Perkins a letter
telling him about the seminar and asking him if he can
come to the next and subsequent meetings.
This outline embodies and takes the place of
the oral statement which Mr. Acheson made at the meeting
last week, and which Dr. Oppenheimer asked to have
transcribed and sent to him.
Sincerely yours,
S.
