OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR
24 September 1954
Dear Miss Evans:
Thank you for your letter of September 2nd.
I
was quite unaware of any delay, as I spent the month of
August with my family on the coast of Maine, which was very
cool this year, but as delightful as ever.
I have myself delayed in writing until I could
tell you that we are mailing more of the transcript. Nothing
was sent after July 27th until today, when the following are
going out:
The first four reels of the May session;
Original and carbon of the transcript of
the May session;
Carbon of the December session;
and carbon of the February session.
On the December carbons, you will find that both tracks of
the first reel, and all but the last page of the first track,
second reel, are missing. These were mislaid when Dr. Oppen-
heimer took the session home to read, and we have been
unable to find them yet. As you can imagine, I am quite
unhappy about it, and shall keep on looking.
We now have only the March session, which is being
transcribed. I shall hope to send it to you in less than a
month.
With best wishes,
S.
Sincerely,
is AND
