Dear Hinie:
I am looking for that cane -- it hasn't
arrived yet! If it is made out of Osage orange
hedge, it ought to be heavy enough for business.
I suppose Professor Jacobson's disserta-
tion on Israel was worth listening to. He has
been over there, and he ought to know something
about the situation.
I hope that the Post Office matter has
been properly straightened out. I don't suppose
political matters ever will be in eastern Jackson
County until I come home and take a personal hand
in straightening them out and that probably
won't be for two or three more years yet.
