THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON
November 14, 1950
Dear Hinie:
I appreciated very much your letters of the eleventh
and twelfth. I've given the letter of the twelfth to
Harry Vaughan and I hope he can work something
out of it.
The Harpies, I think, had a very pleasant visit at
the Muehlebach Hotel. I was sorry that I couldn't
come down for the usual visit on Monday night but,
due to the large number of guards that have been
placed around me since the shooting affair at the
Blair House,I just thought it was best not to come.
I hope Johnny's matter works out all right and I am
sure it will. You are like every other daddy,
nervous as to what is going to happen to the boy and
that is the way you ought to be.
Sincerely yours,
Harry
Honorable Edgar G. Hinde
Postmaster
