SUMMARY OF IMTELLIGENCE.
From 8h Nov. 3rd to 8.7 Nov. 4in, 1918.

I.
GENERAL IMPRESSION OF THE DAY.
Quiet. Increase in enemy acrial activity. Otherwise normal.
II.
ENEMY FRONT LINE.
Information gained by our patrols indicate that the dividing line between
the 106th Div. 11. H., and the 5th Division, lies between the GRAND CHENOS and the
OUVRAGE de MOULIN (o-86,12) held by German troops.
III.
ENEMY ORDER OF BATTLE.
Two prisoners from the 106th lustro-Hung.orian Division, 3?nd K.U.K.
Regiment, captured in the GRAND CHENOS by one of our patrols, confirms the presence
of that unit on our front. Priscners state that their division has been in
France not over two weeks and that their regiment has been in line four days.
They expected to be relieved by German troops on the night of Nov. 3rd-4th, or 4th
-5th.

Decrease in artillery activity from previous period.
s/s BOUEE. 7 Cal. 77 in vicinity of RONVAUX and 20 Cal. 150, objective
unknown.
s/s DERAMEE. 2 Cal. 77 in vicinity of back areas, 100 shells caliber and
objective unknown.
s/s TAVA NNES. 5 Cal. 105 on VERDUN and 5 Cal. 105 on DAMLOUP.
s/s VAUX. 127 Cal. '77 in vicinity of P, C. NORMANDIE and front line of
C.R. DUPRAT. 56 Cal. 150 on rear areas and 53 Cal. 150 in direction of VERDUN.
Total for sector: 330 shells of various oaliber fell on sector throughout
period.

ENEMY MOVEMENT.
Visibility poor to good. 12:30h to 16:00h, movement of many gmall groups
obgerved on Ville en WOEVRE-HENNEMONT road. 11:30h to 14:00h group of enemy. geen
on HERMEVILLE-GRIMACOURT and HENNEVILLE-ABACOUR roads. Two horsemen and one
wagon seen on WARCQ-HERMEVILLE road. Three wagons going toward ETAIN on WARCQ
ETAIN Road.
VII.
ENEMY WORK.
None obsurved.
VIII.
ENEMY AERONAUTICS.
Five single planes and one patrol of three planes over our line during
period. One dropped propaganda on our lines.
Two enemy balloons reported active at ETAIN and GUSSAINVILLE. Etain in
ascension from 13:23h to 13:30h and from .4:35n to 16:45h. Gussainville in asc.en-
sion from 15:20h to 15:24h and from 16:29h to 16:45h.
IX.
MISCELLANEOUS.
Usual smokes and flares. Smoks and movement about T-84.72, indicate
location of dugout or outpost group an this point. At 17:50h, large fire seen in
vicinity nof GINCREY. 20:50h to 0:54h red light seen in vicinity of ABACOURT.
1:35h building seen burning in WARCO.
X.
ACTIVITY OF OUR OWN TROOPS.
s/s BOUEE, two patrols. s/s DERAMEE, two patrols. s/s TAVANNES, one.patrol.
s/s VAUX. Two patrols. One patrol encount ered enemy in force at OUVERAGE de
MOULIN (0-86.12) after a fifteen minutes engagemnet, patrol withdrew.
