Headquartors 35th Division American Expeditionery Forces 2nd January 1919. GENERAL ORDERS - ) 752 No. 1 1. For the purposes of discipline and military police regulation, the area occupied at any time by the 35th Division is divided into districts and sub-districts as indicated on mops to be issued from time to time from these headquarters. Each district or sub-district thus indicated is under command of the senior commander located therein. Districts may be further ub-divided at the discretion of the commanders thereof. Commanders will detail as many, men from their commands to act as military police as the circumstances may require. These men are to be in addition to the Division military police which may be furnished these commanders from these: Headquarters. By means of these men disciplinary and police regulations will be enforced. Snucial attention will be paid to prevent the following: I. - Burning of wood or other fuel not obtained from authorized sources. II. - Uneuthorized destructions of parts of build- ings, furniture, enclosures, trees. III. - Unauthorized removal of property from build- ings or billets. go IV, - Drunkenness, stealing, and other crimes. V. - Violations of traffic regulations and of SERVICE" AND RECORDS orders prescribing speed of motor vehicles through towns and villages. VI. - Straying of men without passes, either going out or coming in. VII. - Disre ard of uniform regulations. 2. The maps referred to will be issued from the G-1 office, these Hoadquarters, marked "District Maps" with the date of issue. U oon recei t of these maps the commanders in the various districts will make personal reconnaissance of the ground for which they are responsible, and will inmediately organize their districts to prevent infractions of discipline.
