The following is an extrnot from G. o. 342:
"IV. Enlisted non will not be permitted to garry platols, revolvers
or smmnition of any hand except whon on duty requiring it. Then conditions
of gervice pormit, at when organisations are in treining aresa or noving
from the front to training areua, piatola, revolvers and exminition of all
kinds will be turned in and kopt sedurely undex control of organiz-tion
commandere and will be only temprarily insued to enlisted non when required
in the performande- of their duties."
In compliance willh this paragraph, Orgenizutions comanders are
directed to take top pistols, rovolvers and asmunition and asune when
duty zequires the use of thon. Boxes ahould be made for the storing of
then and pistola should be carofully oiled to provent rusting while in
storage.
