The following regulations will be strictly observed in this command:
(1) Daily inspection of Wllets, kitchens, latrines and battery or 00m-
pany areas by medical officers. The Medical officers assigned to the Bn.
will make the inspections in their respective Battalions, the 2nd Bn.

Co. The system of grading used at Camp Doniphan will be again inaugurated
and report made to these Hqrs. daily.

ent at each meal. He will enforce the following:
(a) The washing of hands in soap and water by kitchen personnel before
handling food.

(c) That men wear proper uniform. There has been a gross laxity in the
enforcement of uniform regulation especially the wearing of Jerkins on
the outside of the uniforms.
(3) Inspection twice daily of billote by & battery officer, once in the
morning and once at night. A neat and orderly arrangement of equipment,
@lothing and bedding will be required and maintained throughout the day.
The blankets should be folded and placed at the head of the bunk. Especial
care will be exercised that the men do not pool their bedding and that the
head and foot orders are strictly obeyed. Eating or having food in the
billets is postively forbidden. Mess kits must be washed after each meal.
Equipment must not be thrown on the floor.
(4) Bn. Commanders will set aside a day for the use of dubbin on shoes.
All battery and company officers will be present and supervise the appli-
cation of same.
(5) All blankets over the authorized allowance will be taken up and turne
in to the Supply Officer who will salvage same.
(6) All officers will correct violations of uniforms regulations on the
spot. The following deficiencies have been noted. Blouses and overcoats
not buttoned. Jerkins worn on outside of the uniform. Rubber boots worn
at all times by some men. Caps not properly worn. Unauthorized insignis.
(7) Garbage and manure will be disposed of in compliance with existing
orders. It has been noted that when holes are dug that they are allowed
to overflow before being covered up. Latrines are not kept in a sanitary
condition.
(8) Personal Equipment. Men are neglecting their personal equipment. A
thorough inspection of personal equipment will be made and all personal eq-
uipment found to have been neglected will be put in first class condition
and offenders punished. In one battery, automatic rifles are rusting
from lack of attention.
(9) Shaving and Hair Outting. Organization Commanders will at once sea
that the existing orders on the subject are rigidly enforced.
(10) Metting of Organization Commanders at Regt. Hdqrs. Wednesday, Jan.
15, 1919 at 7:00 P.M. and on Saturday the 18th January at 2:00 P.M.
