2. In compliance with letter of instructions, Wer Department, dated
January 2, 1918, a detachment consisting of 140 officers and 460 enlisted
men, under commend of Lieutenant Colonel Thomas c. Clarke, 110th Engineers,
will proceed to Camp Morritt, New Jersey, reporting on arrival to the
Commanding General, Port of Emberkation, for instructions. Eight (8) ad-
ditional enlisted men detailed as cooks will accompany this detachment,
making a total of 140 Officers and 468 onlisted nen.
The Commanding Officer of this detachment will inmediately arrange
with the Division Surgeon to have a careful physical examination made of the
entire personnel, both as to venereal and commucible diseases, The de-
tachment commander will also make a final inspection of the equipment of this
commend. Result or physical examination and of inspection of equipment will
be reported to these Hoadquarters before $:00 P.M. this date.
Servico records and all other papers concerning this detachent will
be carefully checked by the detachment commander, who will see that they are
properly completed and in his possession before departure.
The Division Surgeon will see that this detachment is provided with
sufficient medical supplies for the entire journey, to include overseas trip.
The Quartermaster Corps will furnich the necessary treneportation
and travel rations for five (5) days. The travel directed is necessary in
the Military service.
