Line parallel to the course of the LAUCH and the (ex- clusive*- ODEREN--MT.DRUMONT (inclusive) Infantry occupying this Segment is the 70th Infantry Brigade, P.C. at PAYROU, composed of the 139th Infantry, P.C. at LEYMAYEUR, and the 140th Infantry, p.c. at LARCHEY. French: 6 pieces -- 90 ; a pieces -- 95; 4 pieces -- 120 Li e ARCHIVES SERVICE" RECORDS AND 4 pieces -- 155 BAQUET; 8 pieces -- 65. s MISSION: Of Infantry to assure cosecesion of the Valley of the THUR, which is provided for by a plan of resistance consisting of: (1) advanced lim -- 05.69, 01.62, 13.54, 13.40, 08.27, 01.20, 01.10, 14.96, 15.84, 33.71 (a) T e intermediate position: Following the general line GASCHN- EYKOPF 83.67, SILLAKER KOPF, 93.81, ourving to the Esst along that slope to 96.55, in the Valley of the FECHT of MITTLACH, passing STEIN-ABRUCH (exclusive), and passing along the top of the ridge SCHNEPFENREITH LAUCHENWALD, to point 93.81, due East, ,passing along the crest of KLINTZ KOPF to point 96.81, then southwest along the southern slope of KLINTZ KOPF to point 93.86, to 95.70, 00.62. (3) The second pocition: Following the general lins, HONZCK--RHEIN WEISEN- BREITFIRST. Of Artillary to support the Infantry in its mission and to comply with Par. 5 of the "Plan of Defenne" issued by the 35th Division the 3lat July, 1918 which fixes as the prinoipal M zone of nation of the Artillery the region of HILSENFIRST, to which has been added a zone of action in the region of the KIOSQUE. DISPOSITION: The greatest number of batteries have been placed in such posi tions that they will normally accomplish this mission, while aevoral batteries in the valley of MITTLACH have a different normal mission in the region of the KIOSQUE, with the possibility, except in the oase of one battery, of firing an eventual programme in reinforgement of the HILSEN batteries/
