Asked Labor to give report on Dept problems.
SCHWELLENBACH
Had complaint re Civil Service.

Will ask Dawson to work it out.
LABOR
It is too early to take a position on the merits or demerits of
the Taft-Hartley Act. It will be end of April before we know.

Agrees. .
LABOR
It is not possible to apply an annual wage to industry across the
board. It can be applied in certain industries but not in all. It just
will not work.
With respect to minimum wage will take position on amendments
with respect to particular fields - will favor some will not approve
others in testimony before Congress committees.

Send list to Cabinet members SO they will know Govt. position.
