SCHWELLENBACH Complained of the lack of affirmative action by Democrats in the House. ANDERSON Agreed that the Democrats are sitting by on the theory that they will let the Republicans make the mistakes. Thinks it is most unwise. Thinks that Rayburn and others should be invited to the White House. SNYDER Agreed with Anderson. HARRIMAN Has refused to make Loyalty files on Dr. Condon available to the Congressional Un-American Activities Committee. THE PRESIDENT Asked Atty Gen to prepare a memo to all departments covering re- lease of personnel files to Congressional committees.
