Dear Nan,-Your letter was received several weeks ogo and I have
thought time and again thatn I would write ,but there was always
something to prevent , or I was too lazy.I have just arrived at
school and am going to write the first thing I do for fear that
some-thing will happen so I will not get to write again.I do not
know where to begin ,but guess the first thing I will tell you is
that Lute, has been to see me but it doesn't seem like a visit
she was with me only two nights I was so mad because she did not
stay longer ,but she has promised to come back real soon, she is
the same old sweet Lute as of old ;she has not changed one parti-
cle I was so glad to see her and would have given any thing if
you had only been with her You do not know how bad I want to see
you .I think you might come and see me for I know you could if you
wanted to /Did Mary visit you ? and is she married yet ?She told
Lute that she was to be married this month ,but we did
it ;she has told so many big ones .II went to see the President and
wife while they were here and oh me , I thought I had seen crowds be
fore ,but I was mistaken I never had until that day, and I never
want to be in one again, for it was simply awful .II saw them though
His wife is much prettier than her picture ,at least that is what
I think abuot 3 the pictures they are selling look about as much
like her as they do me ,so you may know they are good
I attended the Exposition last week one day ,it is very good ,
much better than I expected I want to go one evening this week to
