like 286-A & WHEREAS, the people of the United States by their individual initiative and enterprise can indeed be proud of our medical institutions which are second to none in this world, and WHEREAS, / compulsory health insurance tends to reduce the standards of public health and break down medical standards and facilities, and WHEREAS, interference with the personal privilege of selecting one's own physician is an invasion of personal rights and extremely dangerous a.s tending to destroy the privilege and privacy of the patient-physician relationship, and WHEREAS, all forms of state compulsory health programs would result in a new tax burden on the income of the average American workingman and endanger the standard of living, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED Section 1. That Mansfield Council #13, United Commer- cial Travelers does hereby go on record against any form of compulsory health insurance or any degislation designed to set up a system of political medicine or medical standards. Section 2. That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the President of the United States, to each Senator and Repre- sentative from the State of Ohio, and that said Senators and Representatives be and are hereby respectfully requested to use every effort at their command to prevent the enactment of such legislation.
