RESOLUTION
S. TRUMAR
WHEREAS, under a system of free enterprise, the American
NATIONAL
medical profession has established the world's highest standard
ARCHIVES AND
RECORDS
SERVICE
of scientific performance, treatment, and research, thereby
GOVERNMENT
helping the United States to become the healthiest major nation
in the world; and
WHEREAS, the benefits of American medicine are available to
the people of this country through budget-basis voluntary health
insurance, the best health insurance which exists in the world;
and
WHEREAS, the experience of all countries where government has
assumed control of medical services has shown that there has been
a gradual erosion of free enterprise and a progressive deterioration
of medical standards and medical care to the detriment of the health
of the people;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that theyGrant County Medical
Society does hereby go on record against any form of compulsory
health insurance or any system of political medicine designed for

national bureaucratic control;
That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the President
of the United States, to each Senator and Representative from the
State of New Mexico, and that said Senators and Representatives
be and are hereby respectfully requested to use every effort at
their command to prevent the enactment of such legislation.
