The situation is as follows: It la expected that the cloture motion will be made tomarros, Wednesday, and the vote on it ie presently acheduled for Friday, May 19. Present indi- cations are that 1f the vote le held Friday, there will be at lesat 34 Republican votes for/cloture and 21 Democratic votes, a total of at least 55, or 9 less than the 64 necessary.
