I appreciated very much your letter of May
eleventh.
You, of course, are familiar with all the effort
put forth by me to get a peaceable and satis-

factory settlement of the Palestine question.
I am still hoping for just that.
I think the report of the British American

Commission on Palestine was the correct
solution and, I think, eventually we are going
to get it worked out just that way.
