Dear George:
Joseph C.
Senator O'Mahoney called me yes-
terday, really hot under the collar -- he
understands the nominations for the Indian
Claims Commission are to go forward soon and
his recommendation has been completely ignored.
In the light of the present evi-
dence, wouldn't it be a good idea to present
this to the attention of the President again
(Senator O'Mahoney's letter attached).
The Senator is a good man to have
on our team and intensely interested in this.
I noticed his vote on the President's Budget
and I think a little recognition of him now
would really be worthwhile for the future.
