SERVICE
Since the Korean situation de-
veloped, approximately 890 telegrams and
275 letters have been received. 225 of
the telegrams were prior to the Presi-
dent's statement on Tuesday - 200 favor-
ing intervention, 25 in opposition.
Of the 675 remaining, approxi-
mately 325 approved the President's action,
225 opposed, and approximately 125 are of
a miscellaneous nature.
As to the letters, they are run-
ning so far ten to one in favor of the
President's action.
