Your letter of January first, addressed
to the President, has been brought to my at-
tention.
I do not know what can be done to comply
with your request, but I would suggest that
you call woon Mr. Frank Waring, Chairman of
the Philippine Ver Damage Commission, in the

thought that he may be willing to give consider-
ation to your desire for an assignment on claims
work. As you probably know, Mr. Waring is
located in Manila.
