President Harry S. Truman
Washington D. C.
Dear President Truman,
I was sorry to see the Senate pass the
Tide Land Oil Bill and I sincerely hope that you will veto the
measure when it comes before you.
Long ago I was hopeful that you would
ask Mr. McGrath to leave his post as Attorney General. He
has now defied you and said he would not fill out the
questionaires which you approved of
Unless he is removed
the Democratic Party will lose thousands of votes in the
State of Connecticut. I enclose an editorial from the
Herald Tribune which expresses the feelings of millions of
voters across the country. I trust that you will act for
the good of the nation.
Sincerely yours,
Jermer Davin
