My dear Mr. President:
At a regular membership meeting held November 13th, 1947, the
Oakland division of Warehouse Union, Local 6, ILWU, consisting of
X
4,000 members went on record in support of House Resolution 46,
submitted by Congressman Adolph J. Sabath, which calls for the
dissolution of the Un-American Activities Committee.
We respectfully request that you take steps to abolish this
Committee which has brought disrepute upon the Government and the
Congress by it's malicious, un-Democratic and facist-like activities.
