I have your recent letter, addressed to
the President, enclosing a letter received from
the Haverhill Post No. 52, Jewish War Veterans of
8881
the United States, Haverhill, Massachusetts,
relative to the situation in Palestine.

The President wishes to assure you and
the members of the Haverhill Post of his unwavering
determination to do everything that lies within
his power to help the displaced persons in Europe,
and to bring about a peaceful settlement of this
problem.
