Dear General Hawley:
It has come to my attention that
the position of Deputy Director of
Nursing is at present vacant. I would
like to endorse the name of Miss Rose E.
Dunn, who has been employed by the
Veterans Administration for some twenty-
three years. Miss Dunn has come very
highly recommended to my by Congressman
John W. McCormack and others, and I feel

sure that her appointment would be defin-
itely in the interest of the Service.
