IKE SKELTON ATTORNEY AT LAW F. LEXINGTON, Mo. Jan. 9 1947. My dear Harry: I want you to know that I certainly do appreciate you taking the time to write the nice note to little Ike that you wrote him the other day. Your letter was about the very best medi- cine that he has received. He is very proud of it and asked me to put it away so that he could keep it forever. Ike is not recovering as well as I thought he would. He was stricken two months ago today. He has recovered some motion in his right hand, and a little in his right elbow, and that is all. I think that I shall try to get him into some hospital where he can continue with his schooling because he is going to have to stay in a hospital for a long time. With kindest regards and every good wish, I am, Sincerely yours, Akr Hulton Ike Skelton Hon. Harry S. Truman, President of the United States, The White House Washington, D. c.
