Dear Mr. Ellis:
I appreciated very much your invitation of
F ebruary nineteenth to address the graduating
class of the Southwest Missouri State College
in July.
The definite arrangements for the appearance
in Bolivar have not been made. The date was
first set for the fourteenth of April but due to
the Bogota Conference could not be carried out
and no definite date has yet been set for a future
appearance.
I*11 be glad to consider your invitation but can
make no firm commitment in connection with
it because I don't know just what the situation
will be this far in advance of the date.
Sincerely yours,
HARRY S. TRUMAN
