JOHNSON 1951 FRED L. HILDEBRAND, THIRD VICE PRESIDENT FRED L. HILDEBRAND JAMES B. NOURSE, SECRETARY JOS. w. MCQUEEN NOV 9 COmMISSIONERS KANSAS CITY 6, MISSOURI The Precident November 1, 1951 To the Board of Trustees of the Liberty Memorial Association: This year marks the Thirtieth Anniversary of the Dedication of the site on which the Liberty Memorial stands. It is anticipated that the Press will carry a very fine arti- cle in its issue of November 1 bringing back memories of that occasion. The Committee on Arrangements has been consider- ing carefully just what the plans should be on this, the Thirtieth Anniversary, and has submitted two suggestions to the President: 1. That we have our annual meeting of the Board of Trustees as usual on the third Tuesday of November, which falls this year on November 20, 1951, at three o'clock P. M, at the Memorial and have with us a dis- tinguished speaker, OR 2. That we have a short business meeting at the Memorial on Tuesday, November 20, 1951, at three o'clock P. M., adjourn very promptly (most certainly by four o'clock P.M.) and later in the evening have a dinner meeting for the trustees and their guests (each trustee to bring at least one guest), the dinner to be at the Kansas City Club at seven o'clock the evening of November 20. The dinner reservations to be $3.00 each. The Committee would like to know immediately just what the trustees prefer so that it may determine just what plan should be followed, letting the wishes of the majority govern. A card is enclosed for your convenience in advising the committee of your wishes. Please be prompt in returning the card. Sincerely, ARTHUR C. WAHLSTEDT, PRESIDENT JAMES B. NOURSE, SECRETARY
