Orville Zimmerman served the great state of Missouri faithfully and well in
#
the national House of Representatives from the day of his election as a
member of the Seventy-fourth Congress through each succeeding Congress. He
brought to that service integrity, industry, poise and an open mind.
His services as a member of the all important Committee on Agriculture were
of the greatest value.
In him our state had a public servant in the best Missouri tradition. He
discharged with strict fidelity every trust which came to him alike in public
and in private life. In his passing I have lost a faithful friend upon whose
counsel and advice I could always depend. He will be widely mourned and
greatly missed in the national capital and in his home state.
