While LHR (NYT Mag Sec) avowedly had Mr. Whitney
and Mr. Whitney alone in mind when he wrote the little
squib entitled "Revenge" the thought occurred to me that
back in the remote, dim and dark recesses of his subcon-
scious mind your ghost was causing him some uneasiness
also. "Heat not a furnace for your foe so hot that it
doth singe yourself."
Have you really "stopped" any strikes, Mr. Truman?
Or have you only made a mountain out of a mole-hill?
The people, meek and lowly though they may be, are
not to be trifled with, even by a President of the U.S.
All of us are "consumers" - and most of us are "laborers".
We bought war bonds too. Were we "suckers"?????
