My dear Mrs. Jenkins:
Your letter of August twenty-second to
the President has been received and I assure you
that it has been noted most sympathetically. I
wish we could be helpful to you, but we know of
no one who would be interested in buying the old att
books and the newspaper which you wish to sell.
It is suggested that perhaps someone in your local
public library might be able to assist you regard-
ing this matter.
Very sincerely yours,
WILLIAM D. HASSETT
Secretary to the President
Mrs. Paul Jenkins,
