Thank you for your personal and con-
fidential memorandum of February 2d
regarding the plan for the evacuation of the
American civilian population from Germany
and Japan in the event of an emergency.
I have asked Bradley to have the Joint
Chiefs prepare a study on this problem. I
will send or bring it over when it reaches me.
