Dear Judge:
I certainly did appreciate your good letter
of January fifth, and I an glad you had a
pleasant visit in England.
I think you are doing a wonderful job in this
war criminal business and making a historical
record that will be exceedingly valuable in
the future.
I know very well that you can't rush matters
and I am not asicing you to do that at all. The
American press has no patience with a public
official no natter what he does and you have
had enough excerience in public life not to let
that bother you.
I hope Mrs. Biddle will be able to go over, as
suggested. Any assistance I can give her will
be gladly given.
