MAY 7 - 1 - 1952 My dear Mr. President: The Petroleum Administration for Defense is watching the oil strike very carefully and taking all actions within its power to adjust the lessened petroleum supply in such a way as to achieve a maximum of results with a minimum of inconvenience on the part of the public.
