April 3, 1947 Dear Ed: I don't understand what became of your letter of March twenty-fourth. I received a copy of it today from Mr. Baker and I am giving it some study. I do appreciate most highly your taking the trouble to express your views on that subject. Our situation is full of dynamite, especially with the present attitude of the Senate, but I hope something will come out of it. Sincerely yours, RECORDS HARRY S. TRUMAN SERVICE covennexa Honorable Edwin W. Pauley State Department Building Washington, D.C.
